"Enrolling in and completing the Level 6 Business with Tourism Advanced course at Bray Institute of Further Education (BIFE) was a transformative experience for me. As a mature student returning to education after several years in the workforce, I was honoured to be awarded Student of the Year, a recognition that reflects my dedication throughout the academic year. The incredible support and guidance from my lecturers, combined with my own hard work, inspired me to pursue higher education. During my time at BIFE, I also had the incredible opportunity to participate in an Erasmus program in Málaga, where I worked in a hotel setting. This experience was pivotal in shaping my career goals, as I discovered my passion for creating content for the hotel’s social media channels not only that but design new formats for emails and the hotel signs that later were applied to the new rebranding. It allowed me to combine creativity with strategy, sparking my interest in digital marketing and providing practical experience in a professional environment. With the encouragement of my lecturers, I applied to Institute of Arts, Design and Technology (IADT) and was accepted directly into the second year of a Digital Marketing degree as an advanced entry student. I am now in my final year, excited about the opportunities this new career path holds and proud of how far I have come. My time at BIFE also allowed me to develop a strong interest in Finance, Event Management, and Human Resources Management. The supportive learning environment and the dedication of the teaching staff were instrumental to my success, helping me realize my potential and build a solid foundation for my future.  "Having completed the Tourism, Reception and Event Management Level 5 course, I moved on to the Business Tourism/ Advanced Management Level 6. Prior to completing Level 6 I gained advanced entry into Napier University, Edinburgh where I am studying for my dream career in International Festival and Event Management. I did have some new tutors who were as guiding and helpful as the previous year. I have never been in an environment such as BIFE where the tutors are genuinely passionate to see you progress in your chosen education/ career. "After finishing the Leaving Certificate and not being sure of what I wanted to do after school, I Decided to do a level 5 in Tourism & Event Management, I found the course provided me with so much knowledge and experience within the first year that I decided to stay on and do a Level 6. This course provided me with even more of an insight into the Events, Tourism & Business industry. Straight after completing my Level 6 in 2016, I progressed on to IADT where I could skip the first year and go straight into second year of the Bachelor’s Degree in Business & Entrepreneurship Management.
